What is the difference between Windows hosting and Linux hosting?
The difference is based on the type of operating system you are using for your operation. In case you need to support Microsoft products such as MS Access, ASP, or VBScript, then Windows hosting would be the right option. Additionally, if you are comfortable with IIS and don't have time to understand the functioning of Linux system, Windows hosting would again be the right choice. However, it is important to know that just because you use Windows at home does not imply you need Windows hosting. Still the communication is possible with a UNIX server.
Also, Linux being free, is much more common with web hosts along with its superior Linux hosting is usually cheaper than Windows and yet an excellent product.
